Current Build Schedules - Volunteer Workdays

Volunteer workdays are held on Saturdays, beginning at 8:00 AM and continuing into the mid-afternoon if necessary. Volunteers should call the Habitat Office at 704-864-6536 to be sure that the workday has not been canceled due to weather or construction delays. Lunch is provided for volunteers on Saturdays. Some work continues during the week, usually done by sub-contractors; volunteers may call the Habitat Office to see if they are needed. Volunteers do not have to be skilled in any area of work; professionals will be available each day to give directions. Volunteers must sign a waiver of liability form at the sign-in desk at the building site before working, and must sign in each time they work so that volunteer hours can be counted. Children under 18 are restricted to certain activities; check with the Habitat Office before bringing children on site. Children MUST be supervised by a parent/guardian, and a waiver for children under age 18, must be signed by parent/guardian prior to activity.
